The John Shea Trio will be thrilled, excited, and delighted to play for you! They are the very best, most popular piano jazz trio in all of GR//West Michigan, and have been for the last 30 years. Everybody loves the John Shea Trio! John's smooth, swinging, elegant style is comparable to Erroll Garner, Oscar Peterson, Bill Evans, George Shearing, and ,of course, Duke Ellington. Upright bassists Rob Hartman and Jordan Richards are total professionals, sounding like Ray Brown, Paul Chambers, Oscar Pettiford, and NHOP Pedersen. Drummer Fred Knapp is the softest, swingingest player in the whole area, and one heck of a singer. He sings like Chet Baker. The John Shea Trio playing every Monday night at Rockwell Republic.
