    Full-time Information Systems Specialist

    Experience Grand Rapids (EXGR), the destination marketing organization for Grand Rapids and Kent County is seeking a full-time Information Systems Specialist. This position will maintain the quality and consistency of data within Experience Grand Rapids' various applications. They will create and maintain documentation for business systems and other applications as assigned. They will create and execute staff training sessions as needed. They will assist with basic management of network equipment and software, inventory management, purchasing and end user support and ticket management.

    The successful candidate must thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative work environment, have effective communication and customer service skills, knowledge of computer-based systems and database management, basic understanding and application of project management methodology, strong organizational skills and the ability to problem solve and exercise confidentiality.

    Candidates should have 1 – 2 years of technology experience, be self-motivated, highly organized, have experience with solving issues with computers, cell phones and other equipment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and a quick aptitude for learning position-specific software and hardware required. College degree required, especially in business, computer information systems or related field.
