What’s Coming up - Season Schedule
The Grand Rapids Griffins offer an electrifying atmosphere from October to April, making every game night a potential highlight. Beyond the exciting competition, the schedule is packed with special offers on food and drinks, themed nights that encourage creative fan attire, and dedicated nights to show appreciation for the loyal Griffins fanbase.
Promotions include “Winning Wednesday,” when a home victory earns everyone in attendance a free ticket to the next Wednesday game, essentially doubling your Griffins fix. There are fan giveaways throughout the season, games that offer $2 beers and $2 hot dogs, a post-game fireworks show on New Year’s Eve, and much more – including a special 30th anniversary celebration on Nov. 30 and the annual Fan Appreciation Night on April 11. Check out the full Griffins schedule.
The 2025-2026 home opener is Oct. 10 and the final regular season home game is April 11 – and then, hopefully, it’s on to the Calder Cup playoffs. The Griffins made it to the Calder semifinals last season!
Team Roster
Catch the excitement of rising stars with the Grand Rapids Griffins! This talented team boasts players like Amadeus Lombardi, who had a breakout season last year with 19 goals and 40 points, and defenseman Antti Tuomisto, who led the team’s defensemen in both assists (24) and points (27). Goalies Michael Postava and Sebastian Cossa, forwards Carter Mazur, Michael Brandsegg-Nygard and Nate Danielson, and defenseman Alex Sandin-Pellikka were all included in an August 2025 list of “10 exciting prospects Detroit Red Wings must know about now” by Red Wings news and opinion site Octopus Thrower.
The Griffins organization has a rich history of developing future NHL players. Since the team’s inception in 1996, 214 Griffins – 29 goalies and 185 skaters – have gone on to play at least one NHL game. A Griffins alumnus has had his name engraved on the Stanley Cup in each of the last six years and 15 former Griffins were on the playoff roster of the 2008 Stanley Cup champion Detroit Red Wings. So, you might be witnessing the next generation of hockey greats. Keep an eye on the coaches too – three former Griffins head coaches have gone on to successful NHL careers.
