With more than 54,000 residents, Kentwood is the second most populated suburb of Grand Rapids (after Wyoming) and the 31st most populous city in Michigan. It’s also one of the state’s most diverse destinations: East Kentwood High School graduates students from more than 60 countries each year. Kentwood restaurants and shops reflect that diversity with a wide array of cuisines and products from around the world.
Home to West Michigan’s largest shopping mall, a tremendous range of homegrown and brand-name dining options, and lots of places to play, indoors and out, Kentwood is a key part of Grand Rapids’ appeal. Numerous Kentwood hotels are just minutes from the Gerald R. Ford International Airport and the I-96 expressway, making it a convenient home base for exploring the entire area.
Free parking is abundant throughout the city and The Rapid bus system offers various routes to key attractions, including Woodland Mall, the 28th St. and 44th St. commercial corridors, and Jaycees Park.
