Named one of the 20 coolest towns in the U.S. by travel website Matador Network, Fennville offers the laid-back vibe of its more famous coastal neighbor, Saugatuck, without the big summertime crowds. It’s a small town by any measure – fewer than 1,900 residents – but its welcoming atmosphere and surprisingly sophisticated culture, food and wine scenes make it a popular destination for West Michigan residents and visitors.

Charming downtown Fennville, about 10 minutes from Lake Michigan, is lined with historic buildings housing a handful of locally owned restaurants and shops, all within the space of a walkable block or two. Downtown is the gateway to a variety of outdoor adventures and agritourism experiences, from swimming and boating to vineyard tours.

Fennville is about 45 minutes southeast of Grand Rapids and 10 minutes south of Saugatuck/Douglas – perfect for a day trip from the big city to the lakeshore!
