The largest suburb of Grand Rapids, Wyoming is also West Michigan’s second largest city, with 77,000 residents spread over a 25-square-mile area. Wyoming is home to seven school districts, 600 acres of beautiful parkland, University of Michigan Health-West Hospital and the area’s longest downtown – a 3½-mile stretch of five-lane 28th Street, one of Michigan’s most commercially dense roadways.
Named for Wyoming County, New York, from which many early area settlers came, Wyoming today is a culturally diverse community boasting globally diverse restaurants and shops operated by local entrepreneurs in addition to many of the nation’s best-known dining and shopping brands.
Wyoming is easily accessible from the US-131, I-196 and M6 expressways, and parking is free and plentiful throughout the city. The Rapid bus line travels to and from downtown Grand Rapids to various parts of Wyoming, via routes 1, 3, 8, 10 and 24 in addition to the Silverline Express bus.

The Police Memorial Garden outside the Wyoming Police Department is the home of one of several dozen Apollo Moon Trees around the world. This sycamore tree is the offspring of a Mississippi tree that was grown from seeds that orbited the earth on the 1971 Apollo 14 mission. Lions & Rabbits Center for the Arts
Lions & Rabbits is an art-centered nonprofit that fosters creative community development through strategy, transformative placemaking and workforce development. Veteran’s Memorial Garden
Nestled adjacent to the Wyoming Police Department, the Wyoming Veteran’s Memorial Garden is a tribute to those who’ve served our nation in peace time and war. The Gardens’ Walk of Honor is lined by monuments dedicated to each war the country has faced, dating back to the Revolutionary War, and each monument is surrounded by bricks engraved with veteran’s names from the era. 1218 Belfield St SW.

Kaufman Golf Course

Buck Creek Trail
This paved trail follows the course of Buck Creek as it travels through Wyoming and Grandville. Palmer Park
