Janet helps direct the organizational strategy of EXGR as Senior Vice President. She also represents EXGR and its interests to various constituencies, including local governments and businesses, media and travel journalists, and tourism-related entities throughout Michigan. She is a vocal champion for the value of tourism and a strong advocate of community enhancements that will make Grand Rapids/Kent County an even better place to visit, work and live.
Janet joined EXGR 20+ years ago and previously served as our Vice President of Marketing, greatly advancing the scale and sophistication of our marketing capabilities. Prior to that, she earned a BA in Hospitality Business from Michigan State University, managed a restaurant and taught hospitality business classes at Grand Rapids Community College. She is currently a member of Destination Marketing Association International.
