Versluis Park was created on the shore of a 50 acre man-made lake and designed to provide a fully accessible recreational experience. Today, Versluis Park features playground areas, picnic facilities, horseshoes & volleyball, beach and swimming areas with lifeguard stations and a fishing pier, boating, and one mile paved walking trail. A large variety of fish are maintained in Versluis Lake: Bluegill, Carp, Catfish, Croppies, Gar Pike, Large Mouth Bass, Northern Pike, Rock Bass, Small Mouth Bass, Sun Fish and Walleye.
Versluis Park's swimming beach is open from 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM during the summer months starting May 23rd through Sunday, August 11th. All other areas of Versluis Park are open from 11:00 AM - 9:00 PM The rest of the year, typically, when public schools are in session, Versluis Park maintains the hours of 7:00 AM - to sunset.
Perfect for cooling off during those hot days of summer, the sandy beach at Versluis Park is great for family fun. Fully staffed beach / life guards, playgrounds, restrooms, and barrier free access.
Young and old alike can catch their limit from the Versluis Fishing Pier. Barrier free wheelchair access, safety rails, and seating make for an enjoyable family experience. Versluis has a large picnic area with a playground, picnic tables, volleyball court, BBQ's, and a 1 mile paved trail to walk off the excess hotdogs.
