Food Trucks in the Grand Rapids Area
Thrillist named Grand Rapids “Michigan’s Best Food City” – and that honor applies to our vibrant food truck culture as well as our traditional restaurant scene. Whatever you have a taste for, there’s a Grand Rapids food truck that will make your stomach jump for joy.
Summer is peak food truck season, of course, and it kicks off in May each year with the Roll’N out Food Truck Festival, featuring 40+ trucks, a beer tent, entertainment and more. From there, it’s a movable feast of street eats at community festivals and celebrations, in downtown’s 555 Monroe, Calder Plaza and Rosa Parks Circle, at Riverside Park for Food Truck Fridays, and even at the Gerald R. Ford International Airport Viewing Park, where every summer Wednesday you can watch planes land and depart while enjoying delicious selections from a variety of trucks.
Food truck fun doesn’t end with summer, though – you’ll find food trucks in various locales throughout the year, including downtown during our annual World of Winter festival (Jan. – March).
Try These Tasty Trucks
Food trucks also show up at local businesses – like craft beverage destinations that don’t have kitchens – and in various neighborhood locations. Visit the Grand Rapids Food Truck Association Facebook page and the individual web pages of these popular trucks to find out where they’ll be next and where they are licensed to operate.
