Hugging the Grand River as it travels north out of Grand Rapids, Comstock Park was a major transportation hub in the 1850s, serving both the Grand Rapids Indiana Railroad and Chicago & Western Indiana Railroad. Today, it’s home to 10,500 residents, a stretch of busy Alpine Avenue and LCMU Ballpark, home of the West Michigan Whitecaps baseball team.

The Pack Indoor Dog Park

Westgate Bowl

A summer tradition since 1994, the West Michigan Whitecaps are a High-A affiliate of the Detroit Tigers baseball team. Fred Meijer White Pine Trail

The Fred Meijer White Pine Trail is the second longest rail-trail system in Michigan, stretching 92 miles from Comstock Park north to Cadillac. Following the rail bed of the Grand Rapids and Indiana Railroad that laid the first tracks from Grand Rapids to Cedar Springs in 1867, the trail is paved from Comstock Park to Howard City.
