Meijer State Games of Michigan is a multi-sport, Olympic-style event that welcomes state residents of all ages and abilities to compete in Grand Rapids.

Both Winter Games and Summer Games are held every year, typically in February and June, at numerous venues in and around the city. Together, the winter sports lineup and summer sports lineup comprise 50+ different sports – everything from archery to wrestling. Athletes can register online for their sporting event at the Meijer State Games website.

Like the Olympics, the Meijer State Games of Michigan includes an Opening Ceremony that allows thousands of spectators to witness the Parade of Athletes, Lighting of the Cauldron and exciting entertainment. Fans can attend individual events to cheer on athletes to medal-wining performances. There are also Summer Volunteer and Winter Volunteer opportunities that will put you even closer to the action.
