Janet oversees the Experience Grand Rapids marketing operation, which has evolved significantly in scale and sophistication under her 20+-year leadership. (She served as Vice President of Marketing before ascending to her current position.) Janet is responsible for developing marketing strategies and budgets, and she manages a team of professionals who are adept at translating strategies into effective tactics.
She enjoys working collaboratively to innovate new ideas and approaches, and she diligently promotes the professional development of her team members. This formula has led to continued success in elevating the destination’s brand and attracting more visitors.
Janet is also a member of our leadership team, adding her voice to the overall strategic direction of the organization. “It is rewarding to know that our work is contributing to the economic vitality of the community,” she says. “It’s also fun to be involved in the future development of this great city!”
