Patty Delaney, CMP
Events Manager
aka Joy Designer
Patty is tasked with bringing joy to attendees of Experience Grand Rapids events and travelers that pass through Gerald R. Ford International Airport. She’s the logistical genius behind a series of annual events that bring together our clients and partners for fun, fellowship and business networking. She also manages our team of Airport Ambassadors, who welcome visitors at the GFIA Visitor Information Desk and also roam the terminal, computer tablet in hand, to answer questions and provide helpful resources.
Patty came to EXGR with a people-pleasing background, having worked in hotel guest services and sales, as well as for a non-profit benefiting individuals touched by cancer. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management from Eastern Michigan University and enjoys yoga, gardening and hiking.

- Tells visitors to check out the nighttime view from MDRD restaurant atop the Amway Grand Plaza, Curio Collection by Hilton hotel – “The panoramic view of the city stuns, every time!”
- Loves exploring different Grand Rapids neighborhoods filled with distinctive restaurants, breweries, shops and attractions.
Patty’s own favorite travel destinations include Colorado’s Rocky Mountain National Park, and her favorite travel partner is her husband Drew.
